Car Insurance Eagle (Car Insurance). What's a reliable fun car for around $15000?What's a reliable fun car for around $15000? So just to let you know, I am a high school kid. I'm not like the typical teenager though, I am responsible and unlike how I'm stereotyped, I am a great driver, I've been around cars my whole life and have been driving since as long as I can remember. I will agree that most high school kids are irresponsible and terrible drivers, just don't get that opinion about me, it annoys me. Anyways, now that that's out of the way, I do know cars, I just want to see some other opinions. I don't really know new cars very well, just crawlers, prerunners and classics. I would like to buy from a dealer so that i can pay monthly. I do have a good job that I know I'm going to be keeping through college... because it's my mom's office. I'm looking for a car that I can mess with, maybe a newer tuner? I can't have a car that I can have fun with, it's just impossible for me. This would be my fifth car after a 65 mustang, 68 bug, 90 blazer that I gave to my dad and he made into a crawler, a 95 mark viii (we made it somewhat of a sleeper then sold it), and my current car of a 93 jeep grand cherokee that i wanted to make into a jeepspeed/crawler. So ya, just something fun that I can find at a dealer. Also I do have a 4.0 GPA so my insurance gives a 25% "good student" discount. Eagle . How to Change the Starter in Dodge CaravanChanging a starter on a Dodge Caravan is something you can do yourself, so there's no need to pay high labor charges. The most difficult part is crawling under the vehicle to get to the starter. You need to consider carefully the replacement starter before you buy it, however. There is a significant difference between a remanufactured starter and a rebuilt one. If you are buying a new one, that won't matter. If you are choosing between a remanufactured and a rebuilt starter, however, remanufactured is the better choice. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Automobile jack Jack stand Wheel chocks Marker Masking tape Metric socket set Metric wrench set Step by Step : 1 Disconnect the negative battery cable using a wrench to loosen the nut on the terminal. 2 Jack the car up with the automobile jack on the driver's side. Place a jack stand under the car near the jacking point and raise it up to the frame of the car. 3 Crawl under the vehicle and label the wires on the starter using the marker and masking tape. Note the proper location of each one, then disconnect them by remove the nuts with a wrench. Unplug the wiring harness from the starter. 4 Remove the bolts from the starter using a socket and ratchet. Pull the starter away from the engine and put the replacement starter in place. Tighten the bolts with the socket and ratchet. 5 Remove the jack stand and lower the car back to the ground. Reconnect the battery terminal and tighten the nut with a wrench. Tips & Warnings Consider replacing the solenoid at the same time as the starter if your vehicle has in excess of 100,000 miles. Failure to disconnect the battery terminal as instructed in Step 1 could result in severe electrical shock.

Chevrolet then brought the model back in 1994, only to discontinue it once again in 1996. The 2000 model year saw its comeback yet again and it has been in production ever since. As happens on other automobiles, the parts will wear out and you eventually will need to change them -- including the starter. You can save money by doing it yourself. It will take about an hour and a half to finish the job. Disconnect the wires using a wrench to remove the nuts and pull the wires away from the starter. 6 Remove the starter from the engine by loosening the bolts with a ratchet and socket. Put the new starter in place and tighten the bolts with the socket and ratchet. 7 Connect the electrical wires to the starter according to how you labeled them. Tighten the nuts with a wrench. 8 Replace the cover on the torque converter and tighten the bolts with a socket and ratchet. Replace the lower radiator air deflector and tighten the bolts with a wrench. Remove the jack stand and lower the car back to the ground. 9 Connect the battery cable and tighten the nut with a wrench. Start the car and test the installation of the new starter.
